The majority of students are part-timers who typically work full-time while earning a graduate degree. The latter are well served by FSU’s "flexible curriculum" and by the school's partnerships with large local employers, including the US Army at Fort Bragg and the Cape Fear Valley Health System (the school offers an MBA in healthcare, with "classes right on the hospital campus," one participant reports).

Admission for Professional Development
Applicants who have not taken the GMAT* before full admission into the program will be permitted to enroll in 12 credit hours (maximum 6 credit hours at 600 level). Provided the student meets the admission requirements at a later time, the courses completed with a minimum grade of “B” will be used to fulfill the student’s degree requirements. Individuals who plan to take courses for personal enrichment or to fulfill the M.B.A. requirements may be admitted under the “Professional Development” status. However, this does not constitute admission to the M.B.A. program.
Prospective MBA students may be considered for admission as either Degree Seeking or Professional Development. For Degree Seeking status, an applicant must at least meet the following requirement:
(200 X undergraduate GPA) + GMAT* ≥ 950 and GMAT* ≥ 380 or
[200 X (upper division undergraduate GPA)] + GMAT* ≥ 1050 and GMAT* ≥ 380
Applicants who do not meet the above requirement, but have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or a minimum of 450 GMAT* score are admitted under the Professional Development status which allows them to enroll in up to 12 credit hours of courses work (maximum 6 credit hours at 600 level). These credit hours may be applied toward the student’s curriculum once he/she meets the aforementioned admission formula.

Requirements for admission into the Three-Two Program are based on current MBA policy with the exception of completion of a baccalaureate degree. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
GPA for the last 60 hours = 3.0 or better
(200 x GPA) + (GMAT* Score) = 1000 or better*The GRE predicted score for GMAT may be used in the above admission formula.Refer to http://www.ets.org/s/gre/flash/bschool/comparison/17302/170/index.html
