Purpose:
The Fayetteville State University MBA program with focus on Healthcare Management is designed to provide cutting edge graduate education for individuals interested in furthering their careers in the management and administration of healthcare delivery organizations, such as, hospitals, integrated health care systems, managed care firms, medical practices, community health organizations as well as healthcare planning and consulting.
Uniqueness:
FSU faculty and CFVHS senior administrators will team-teach Healthcare Management courses, Internship possibility at CFVHS, Award winning students in 15 National and Regional competitions.
Curriculum:
39 credit hours of which 27 hours are business core and 12 hours are in the Healthcare Management field. Applicants without business or related undergraduate degrees may be required to take up to an additional 18 credit hours of Foundation courses. For detail see http://www.uncfsu.edu/mba/curriculum.htm
Faculty:
All full-time with terminal degrees in their teaching fields and extensive research/publications and consulting experience.
Admission:
An undergraduate degree (any field), satisfactory GMAT scores (applicants with M.D. or Ph.D. and/or any other terminal degree holders are exempted from GMAT). May start without GMAT, but would be limited to a maximum of 12 credit hours.
Duration:
The program can be completed in 2 years, but must be completed within 6 years.
Schedule:
Each course meets once a week, 6:00- 8:50pm, for traditional 16 week semesters, 6:00 - 9:50 pm, for 8 week accelerated terms. Selected online courses are also available.
Term Length(s):
16 weeks, summer 10 weeks (summer courses are online), and 8 week accelerated terms.
Starting Date:
Fall (August) and Spring (January) semesters.
Class Size:
20 students average size.
Location:
Classes are held at CFVHS (Village Dr Education Center).
Tuition:
$138 per credit hour for NC residents, otherwise $649
