- Students have two options to participate in an officially-sponsored mentorship program. (Check with your advisor for further information).
- The first is through a directed research program. This program is overseen by graduate faculty and allows four to six students to work together to come up with a new and inoovative idea, write a business plan, and present their business plan in national and international business plan competitions.
- The second option is through a study in special topics of business. This program is mentored by graduate faculty in the School of Business and Economics and a guidance counselor from the the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC). A team of students work with local small/medium size business to perform a complete analysis of the company's operations. Areas of concern are identified and recommendations for improvements are made to the business owner. Students also assist the business in the implementation phase.
