Six Young Ladies Compete in Miss Fayetteville State Pageant Fayetteville, NC - The 12th annual Miss Fayetteville State University Scholarship Pageant: Royal Safari will be held on the campus in Capel Arena on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 8:00 p.m. This year's competition promises to be entertaining and exciting! Miss Fayetteville State University, Yvonne Richmond, a senior from Charlotte will relinquish her crown to one of the six beautiful young women vying to be the next Miss FSU. The contestants are:

To be eligible for the competition, each contestant must possess a high grade point average and be in good standing with the university. The contestants will compete in six categories: interview, fitness and athletic wear, on stage knowledge and awareness, talent, evening gown and the student vote. Gayle Nelson and Ricardo Morgan will serve as the pageant's mistress and master of ceremony. As in previous years, the crowd-pleasing opening number will feature the reigning queen, contestants and dancers, and will take the audience on and African safari. A host of exciting entertainment will also be showcased throughout the evening. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.
