Chimere C. Collins

 

Chimere C. Collins was crowned the 2006-07 Miss Fayetteville State University at the 15th annual Miss Fayetteville State University Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, April 22nd in Seabrook Auditorium.

Aside from Chimere, the contestants included: Carlitta Moore (Charlotte), Kendra Sumler (Raeford), Jaime Guinn (Fayetteville), Victoria Hawkins (Durham), Labecca McNeill (Red Springs),  and Andrea Clinton (Winston Salem)

Chimere is from High Point, North Carolina majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She is involved in many campus organizations which include Student Activities Council, Vision Student Leadership, Bio Phi Chem Science Club, Phi Eta Sigma Freshmen National Honor Society, Beta Kappa Chi Scientific Honor Society.  She is  president of the Undergraduate Student National Dental Association.  She also works as a professional tutor with the Cross Creek Early College High School located right here on the campus of Fayetteville State University. 

Chimere says she ran for the title of Miss Fayetteville State University to serve as an ambassador for the university and give her the opportunity to go out in the community to let people know how great this institution is and to get more students to attend the university.
