Residential Learning Coordinator Position Description

DEPARTMENT OF RESIDENCE LIFE

 

RESIDENTIAL LEARNING COORDINATOR

 

Residential Learning Coordinators (RLC) work independently to promote a community concept in their residence hall.  RLCs aid in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of Resident Assistants (RAs).  RLCs exercise their skills through staff development, student leadership training, hall programming and performing the various administrative tasks needed to keep their residence halls the perfect image of campus living.

Basic Qualifications

 

-Possess a bachelor’s degree from and secure enrollment in a graduate degree program.

-Maintains flexible and regular office hours to provide assistance to residents.

-Must be articulate, creative, and possess a high degree of customer-service skills.

 

Remunerations

 

-Live-in Suite equipped with basic furnishings and utilities included (cable, internet access, & local phone

  with voice-mail)

-Monthly pay allowance and incentives will vary but averages more than $1,200 per month.

-Opportunities to expand your resume through professional development.

Positions are limited and highly competitive.  Please submit a professional portfolio with the following items to the Department of Residence Life by February 1, 2008.

Ø      Detailed resume and cover letter

Ø      Statement of your short-term and long-term goals

Ø      Copies of certifications, trainings, awards or recognitions (No originals please)

Ø      Undergraduate Transcript

Ø      Three letters of references (professional, occupational or academic resources)

Ø      Graduate school acceptance letter or other enrollment verification.
