RESIDENT ASSISTANT PROCESS REQUIREMENTS

NEW APPLICANTS - Prospective Resident Assistants

  • Submit an online RA application
                      (Deadline: Fri., February 17, 2006)
  • (Required) Information Session
                      (Thurs., February 23, 2006)
  • (Required) Weekend Series Activity A - Job Shadowing
                      (Fri., March 24, 2006 & Sun., March 26, 2006)
  • (Required) Weekend Series Activity B -Readiness Workshops
                      (Sat., March 25, 2006)
  • (Required) Submit Completed RA Portfolio *See Below
                      (Mon., March 27, 2006)
  • (Required) Interview Stage I -
                      (Tues., March 28 - Thurs., March 30, 2006)
  • (Required) Interview Stage II -
                      (Sun., April 2 - Tues., April 4, 2006)

Portfolio Requirement

  • Cover page must include a self portrait
  • Resume with cover letter
  • Two (2) professional reference letters (employer, professor, advisor or etc.)
  • Include a copy of any special recognition certificates/award letters
  • Include any special workshops or conferences you've attended to enhance your role as a student leader.
  • Submit a copy of a programming idea/activity that you sponsored Include the program proposal form, flyer, and a half- page "personal reflection" sheet representing your views about the programs success or failure
