Student Health ServicesStudent Health Services (SHS) is committed to providing quality health care for students enrolled at Fayetteville State University. SHS promote and maintain conditions that are conducive for healthful living, to guide and encourage students to accept health as a positive value of life, and to stimulate an interest in students to make healthy adjustments to their environment. SHS is located in the Spaulding Building on the West Campus. Medical services include primary medicine, routine gynecologic examinations, contraceptive health education, laboratory services, confidential HIV and STD testing, nursing services, minor injury treatment, pharmacy services, and health education programs. InsuranceFayetteville State University requires each student to have accident and sickness insurance protection either by their personal policy or under the FSU Student Medical Insurance Plan. Brochures describing the Student Insurance Plan are available at Student Health Services or can be found online at www.studentinsurance.com. The premium for the Student Medical Insurance Plan is included in each student's semester bill. Students who do NOT wish to be enrolled in the Student Medical Insurance Plan MUST complete the insurance waiver form online only. |
