Highlight

The Transfer and Advisement Center is a part of University College, the academic unit that assists students in their first and second year of enrollment with the university.  University College is a unit within the Student Success and Retention Office and a part  the Division of Academic Affairs .

 

About the Unit

The Transfer and Advisement Center provides initial academic advisement for new transfer students, readmit students, students with an undeclared major, and students in academic difficulty.  In connection with its work with new transfer students, the center works with other units to ensure effective outreach to community colleges. Our center staff assist students with no declared major achieve the requirements for acceptance into a required major or identify other major options.  Center staff guide probation/suspension students in selecting courses that will improve their academic status.  Students in good academic standing with a declared major are referred to the Department of their major for academic advisement.  The center also works with other units to strengthen academic advisement throughout the university, and to assess all advisement efforts.
