If you have not decided on a major or choice of career, stop by University College (Helen T. Chick 103) and speak with an Academic Advisor.  We can assist you with:

  • Information on major courses of study and descriptions
  • Clarifying your academic and career goals
  • Exploring major/career options
  • Exploring career opportunities within a major
  • Relevant information about requirements and expectations, course contents, and course terminology (i.e., credit hours, section)
  • Developing accurate expectations of time and effort required to make successful academic progress, and timely graduation:
    • Time management
    • Study skills and habits
    • Note taking
    • Scheduling
    • Adjusting schedule after the semester has begun
    • Challenging courses
    • Registration assistance
    • Understanding university policies and academic options, i.e., Academic warning and probation, course repeats, attempted and earned hours, quality hours, an "I" grade, grade point average, and minimum grade point average.
