Operations Officer

Major Pamela DeFazio serves as Operations Officer for Detachment 607 in addition to serving as Recruiting Flight Commander, Test Examiner, and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  As the instructor for 300- level Aerospace Studies, Major DeFazio is responsible for educating and training officer candidates on leadership, ethics, and management fundamentals. Major DeFazio provides officer candidates practical leadership and field training experience, emphasizing physical fitness and officership in preparing future officers for positions as active duty, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard leaders.

Major DeFazio is a prior enlisted Signals Intelligence Journeyman.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Meteorology from Western Connecticut State University in May 2002 as a member of the Airman Education and Commissioning Program and received her commission through Officer Training School in August 2002.  Major DeFazio has served in a variety of positions including Flight Commander, Instructor, and Assistant Director of Operations.
