Captain Rufino Farias is an Army Officer with over 10 years of active duty experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Campbell University. Captain Farias has deployed on two separate tours, Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004-2005) and Operation Enduring Freedom (2007-2008), and most recently was forward stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Captain Farias is a former Enlisted Soldier, and served as a Combat Medic for the 82nd Airborne Division under 3rd Battalion 325th AIR and 2nd Battalion 2508th PIR from 2004-2009.

Captain Farias’ military education includes US Army Officer Candidate School, US Army Air Defense Artillery Officer Basic Course, US Army Jumpmaster School, and US Army Air Assault School. Captain Farias is married to the former Stacie Servantes of Mission, TX. They have three children: Rufino III, Audrey Edda, and Mario Alejandro.

SFC Torin Hammond, a native of New England, enlisted into the Army in 1998 as an Infantryman. He is a graduate of the 7th Army Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Grafenwoehr, Germany, Basic and Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Fort Benning, GA, the US Army Recruiter School in Fort Jackson, SC, and the Army Instructor Training Course at Fort Knox, KY.

SFC Hammond has completed two consecutive overseas tours to Italy. His stateside assignments have been two tours at Fort Bragg, NC, Brockton, MA (USAREC) and Fayetteville, NC (USACC). His deployments include Bosnia and Kosovo peacekeeping missions, one deployment to Iraq with the 3-505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, two deployments to Afghanistan with the 4/73rd Cavalry Regiment (RSTA) and the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division respectively.


SFC(R) Whitaker SFC(Retired) Duane E. Whitaker

Sergeant First Class (Retired) Duane E. Whitaker enlisted in the United States Army on June of 1984 and    attended Basic Training on Tank Hill, Fort Jackson, SC.  Mr. Whitaker moved to Ft. Gordon, GA to attend his Advance Individual Training as a Special Electronic Devices Technician.  In 1988, Mr. Whitaker retrained as a Food Service Specialist.  

Mr. Whitaker served the US Army in varying leadership positions to include Platoon Sergeant to Dining   Facility Manager throughout the last twenty years.  He has served his country in numerous locations around the world, to include the 9th Infantry Division, 3rd Armored Division, 3/47th Infantry Division, 1/509th Infantry Battalion (OPFOR), 1/508th Infantry Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group and the 82nd Airborne Division.

Additionally, Mr. Whitaker served two overseas tours within Germany and Italy and three combat tours within Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
