Dr. Sheryl Linch-Parker teaches all music education courses including supervision of student teachers, the trumpet studio, class brass, trumpet pedagogy, trumpet choir, and basic musicianship. She also assists with the Marching Bronco Express, serves as trumpet instructor for the Music Camps @ FSU and director/coordinator for the FSU Trumpet Fest, Music Education Summit and Music Education and Beyond Seminar. Prior to her appointment at FSU, she taught as a band director for the Hazelwood Public Schools (St. Louis, MO.) where she directed five elementary bands, Chadron State College (Music Education Specialist/Trumpet), and the Callaway School District in Nebraska as K-12 Band Director. 

Dr Linch-Parker has maintained an active private studio for trumpet and performs with the Fayetteville Jazz Orchestra and Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra since 2003 as a section and principal player. Recently she was invited to perform at the 2010 International Trumpet Guild Conference in Sidney, Australia as part of the Festival of Trumpets. Most recently she presented clinics and performances with her trumpet/percussion duo, Double Take at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, UNC-Pembroke, and Johnston Arts Council in Smithfield featuring commissioned works from the recent release of their 2nd CD, "Atmospheres". Dr Linch-Parker is a member of MENC, NCMEA, and ITG. She is also a Jupiter Performing Artist endorser.
