When you request a
Blackboard course, you will also be added to a mandatory Blackboard
Listserve mailing list. A Listserve
is a system which creates, manages and controls electronic "mailing
lists." These "mailing lists" are names and E-mail addresses of
users who wish to receive messages on particular topic. Clients can
subscribe to a list and receive all messages sent to the list by
other subscribed clients. All replies to the messages will be
distributed to the list.
The FSU Blackboard
Listserve is to encourage communication between faculty and the
Blackboard Administrator to discuss issues and related online
educational topics. This list will help and promote group
interactions and also be used by the Blackboard administrator to
announce server downtimes or new Blackboard policies and features.
Can anyone self
subscribe?
Anyone can self subscribe to the Listserve by simply sending an
E-mail message to:
maiser@lists.uncfsu.edu with the words SUBSCRIBE BLACKBOARD in
the body of the note.

Anyone can self unsubscribe to the Listserve by simply sending an
E-mail message to:
maiser@lists.uncfsu.edu with the words SIGNOFF BLACKBOARD in the
body of the note.
How do I send a
message?
To send a message to each subscriber on the Blackboard Listserve
list, address your E-mail note to:
blackboard@lists.uncfsu.edu or Reply To: an existing Listserve
message.

To send a
reply to one individual, be sure to replace the
blackboard@lists.uncfsu.edu E-mail address with the
individual's E-mail address before sending a reply.
