A wide variety of courses include laboratory and field experience. Departmental activities such as seminars, special presentations, research, and participation in the Honors program greatly enhances the educational experience of our students.
The Department of Biological Sciences offers degrees in selected areas of the natural sciences to prepare students for careers in government, industry, health-related professions, education, or for pursuing further study in graduate or professional schools.
Students in other undergraduate majors may elect to minor in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or physics in order to achieve their career goals. The Department of Natural Sciences offers a variety of non-major courses that satisfy the natural sciences requirement of the University College Core Curriculum.
