Welcome! to our upcoming research colloquium. The FSU-RISE Program and the FSU Math/Science Education Center will hold the 6th Annual Research Colloquium on Friday, March 14, 2008 in the Capel Arena on the FSU campus. The Colloquium theme is “Rising to Meet Tomorrow’s Challenges Through Research”. The purpose of the colloquium is to provide a forum on the FSU campus to highlight the research accomplishment of FSU students and faculty, and to encourage more minority students to pursue science careers.  During the colloquium, we will have poster presentations by students and oral presentations by faculty.

The Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) Program at Fayetteville State University is funded through a grant from the National Institute of Health.  The goal of the FSU-RISE Program is to increase the number of well-prepared Biology, Chemistry and Psychology FSU graduates from underrepresented minority groups who enter graduate programs in the biomedical and behavioral sciences.

There is a $10.00 advance registration fee and $15.00 late registration  fee to attend at the FSU-RISE Research Colloquium.  The registration fee includes conference materials, continental breakfast, luncheon and access to all sessions.
