Mission

The mission of the Office of Career Services (OCS) Volunteer Services Program is to promote civic responsibility by encouraging student involvement in meaningful and reciprocal service to the community.

The Volunteer Services Program has three primary goals:
  • Increase volunteerism among Fayetteville State University students within the community and surrounding areas
  • Connect students with volunteer opportunities that align with their professional and personal goals
  • Maintain a growing database of volunteer opportunities in the Fayetteville/Cumberland County area

The Volunteer Services Program will assist with making the connection between local agencies and Fayetteville State University students. The volunteer needs of each agency will be determined and every effort will be made to match individuals with the appropriate agency based on need and interest.
