Ms. Devin Sturdavant, Freshman Career Counselor

Welcome Freshmen! I am excited to be your career counselor and work with you as you begin this new journey. Freshman year is the time to explore! It is about getting to know yourself and assessing your interests, skills, and abilities. It is important for you to utilize your resources. Our office provides an array of services including major and career exploration, resume critiques, and interview preparation to name a few. There are a host of workshops and events designed just for you. My objective is to assist you in your transition into college, help you distinguish your goals, and develop and practice good habits to create a strong foundation.

Whether you are completely undecided or have a distinct area of interest, our office has services that are beneficial to you. Professional development is a process and it is essential that you begin to recognize key pieces early in your collegiate career to create a path that will be most beneficial for your future. This can be achieved through involvement, professional preparation, building relationships, and gaining valuable experience. You have made a choice to continue your education to enhance your future success. I hope you continue to exercise wisdom and utilize your resources. Feel free to call, email, or stop by with any questions you may have. I look forward to working with you!
