Research and Scholarship

The intended outcomes for CAS Research and Scholarship are:

  1. Increase the number of faculty participating in grant writing from 41 in the FY 10 to 43 in FY 11. This is a 5% increase
  2. Increase the number of grant submissions from 50 in FY 10 to 52 in FY 11.  This is equivalent to 5% increase
  3. Maintain the same level of total grant submissions amount of $50 million for FY 10 and FY 11.  This is a 5% increase. Note that the baseline value is high due to faculty's overwhelming responses to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Several of the grant submissions in FY 10 were over $2 million.
  4. Increase the total grant award amount from $1.4 million in FY 10 to $1.5 million in FY 11. This is about 6% increase.
