Admission to CHEER

Participation in the CHEER Scholars program is by invitation only; your invitation will appear in your letter from Admissions after you apply to FSU. The Office of Admissions selects candidates based upon their high school GPA and SAT scores.  Students selected for the CHEER program must successfully complete it to gain unconditional admission to the university. Due to budget cutbacks, we are unable to accept applications from students who are not invited to participate in the CHEER program.

Secure Your Space

To secure your space in the CHEER Scholars program, go to www.uncfsu.edu/admissions and fill out your application to Fayetteville State University!  Once your application materials have been reviewed, you will receive a letter that will let you know whether you are invited to participate.  Please contact the Office of Admissions about selection to the program or Dr. Beth Bir about the program itself if you have questions.

Harris group 2009

When you come to CHEER, you will be assigned to a learning community named after one of the founders of FSU:  Harris, Leary, Lomax, Simmons, Grainger, Bryant, Chesnutt, or Carter.
