FSU Home → CHEER Scholars → Housing
CHEER students will stay in New Residence Hall for the duration of the program, which is a comfortable, centrally-located hall close to your classroom buildings, the student center, and Capel Arena. New Residence Hall is set up on a suite style; each suite has four double-occupancy rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with mini kitchen area. Like all residence halls on campus, New Res has furnished, air-conditioned rooms with internet access, local phone service, and a cable plug-in. It also has on-site laundry facilities, a full fitness center, and a spacious courtyard where many evening and weekend activities will take place.
The room you live in during CHEER will not be your room for the fall semester. You will need to remove your belongings from your room when CHEER ends. With that in mind, you may wish to limit what you bring. Keeping that in mind, you are welcome to bring almost anything to make your room comfortable, including rugs, refrigerators, DVD players, dishes, computers, lamps, and microwaves.
CHEER students must follow all Residence Life rules and regulations. Violation of Residence Life regulations may result in dismissal from the program.

Students will move in on Sunday, July 7 at various times according to last name. A mandatory meeting for families and students will be at 2:30, after check-in, at Seabrook Auditorium.
Mail can be picked up from the FSU post office 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Please be sure to write "CHEER Program" on any mail sent to the student, as well as the university address: 1200 Murchison Road, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
