Where will I stay?

Male CHEER students will stay in Smith Hall and female students in Joyner Hall.  Smith and Joyner,  like all residence halls on campus, have furnished, air-conditioned rooms with internet access, local phone service, and a cable plug-in.  They have on-site laundry facilities, exercise rooms, and lounge areas.

The rooms assigned to CHEER students will be your fall room assignments as well, unless you request otherwise.  You are welcome to bring almost anything to make your room comfortable, including rugs, refrigerators, DVD players, dishes, computers, lamps, and microwaves.  You will be able to secure your belongings for the period between CHEER and the fall semester so that you do not have to move them out and back in again.

CHEER students must follow all Residence Life rules and regulations.  Violation of Residence Life regulations may result in dismissal from the program.

What should I bring?

  • one dressy outfit
  • athletic clothes and shoes if you wish to play intramurals or use the gym
  • bathing suit if you wish to use the pool
  • twin size bed linens and pillows
