Technology Assisted Legal Instruction and Services (TALIAS) is a live, interactive, videoconference series which originates at the North Carolina Central University School of Law and is broadcast to participating host sites. Fayetteville State University along with Elizabeth City State University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Winston-Salem State University benefit from the $2 million Broadband Technologies Grant Program awarded to the NCCU School of Law. This grant enables each of the HBCU's listed here to be host sites for the TALIAS program.
TALIAS provides a communication forum which allows people to access licensed attorneys who are skilled in various practice areas. These attorneys provide essential legal guidance and training to participants. The volunteer attorneys hold free workshops at NCCU School of LAW and the workshops are broadcast live through TALIAS. On and off-site participants in the workshops may ask questions through the TALIAS telecommunication system. TALIAS saves citizens the time and cost of commuting to attend meetings and workshops in person. The goals is to provide a convenient communication method which allows low-income North Carolina residents to receive needed legal advice.

TALIAS series and forums are held in the Upper Level Cook Building on the campus of FSU and are open to the public.
