The Department of Communication includes many state-of-the-art training facilities and professional studios. In fact, many of the radio personalities and station operators employed throughout the community received their training at our facilities in the Telecommunications Building. We encourage anyone interested to call the department and make an appointment to see our outstanding studios.

Beyond all of the professional production equipment, we have three audio production labs, one video editing lab, one all-purpose multi-media production MAC lab, a studio control room for WFSS, a studio control room for Bronco-iRadio, a large TV production floor attached to a TV broadcast control room, and a fully equipped Interviewing Room for large groups.

The Multimedia Production Lab is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning Final Cut Pro facility, and includes both MacPro and IMac computers, Smart Board, MacPro console, DV tape converter, and DVD/CD duplicator, all connected to high speed Cat-6 Ethernet.

The Department of Communication houses several state-of-the-art facilities for pre- and post-production. We offer three audio production rooms with the most advanced recording equipment and a non-linear video editing lab with fully-loaded MacPro dual screen computer systems. |

WFSU-TV Student Television The FSU Student Television Station will be renovated in Fall 2010! The station will include 3 new HDef Panasonic Studio Cameras, 3 Teleprompters, production flooring, full studio lighting, professional camera switcher, 28-input audio board, a post-production computer station, and connection to the campus's 4 closed circuit system. The studio dimensions are 22.5' X 31.5'. |

Our newly remodeled Student Radio Station is state-of-the-art. Streaming both audio and video over the Internet, content is provided by students for students, and the global community. The studio has capabilities for round table discussions, guest artists, and much more. It is open to all students and professionals.
