COVID-19 Testing on FSU's campus

Date: September 11, 2020

Dear FSU Family:

Through grant funding received from the partnership of UNC Board of Governors HSMI Committee and the N.C. Policy Collaboratory at UNC-Chapel Hill, FSU Cares (Covid19 Assessment, Research & Emerging Science) was established on campus One of the four prongs of the program is the provision of free COVID-19 testing to the community and FSU. Testing is free and available for any individual over the age of 13. Those aged 13 to 17 years will need parental/guardian consent. The parent/guardian must also be present for testing.

Testing does not require appointments. The testing will be accommodated through walk-up services.

To protect the health and safety of staff and others being tested, public restrooms will not be available on site. To ensure State Health Department reporting requirements, proper identification is required.

Test collection sites are held outdoors and dependent upon the weather. In case of weather events (rain, strong winds, cold weather, etc.), check the Cumberland County COVID-19 website and social media pages for information about cancellations.
