Loose Change Scholarship


Loose Change Scholarship

 

Vote for the professor you would most like to see wearing one of the

 following all day on April 15, 2008:

 

- a Greek philosopher’s toga

 

 

- a rainbow colored clown wig

 

 

-         a nice sparkly crown.

 

 

Vote by placing your loose change in the jug with the professor’s name for which you vote.  Voting will be available April 9-11, 2008 in the CJ Main Office (Lauretta Taylor Bldg., Rm. 318).

 

An essay competition will be held to determine which lucky student will win the money
 collected in all the jugs

Loose Change Scholarship Application

 

 

Students qualify for the Loose Change Scholarship if they have the following characteristics:

 

          - are a declared criminal justice major

        - have a 2.0 GPA

 

Students must write an essay as to why they should be awarded the scholarship.  You must indicate why you are a student in need of financial support. 

 

Students must supply the award committee with one letter of recommendation from a criminal justice professor.

 

Please attach your essay and the letter of recommendation to the application form (found on CJ website under Scholarships) and turn it in to Ms. Stephanie Pacquette by April 15, 2008.  Results will be announced by Dr. Elvira White at the Awards Ceremony on May 2, 2008 and the scholarship will be available for the Fall 2008 semester.
