Tutoring is available in all subject areas with a strong emphasis on Math, English, and Reading.
Professional Tutors are stationed at the Educational Talent Search target schools throughout Cumberland, Hoke and Robeson Counties.
The Academic Support Learning Center is open at Fayetteville State University, four (4) nights a week (Monday-Thursday) from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Cultural and career enrichment activities such as, visits to postsecondary institutions, museums, theatrical productions, lecturers, educational centers, and local businesses are provided to students.
Academic and college-preparatory workshops are provided once a month at each target school. The workshop topics include: study skills, time management, college selection, SAT/ACT preparation, and financial aid for college. Workshops are also offered evenings and Saturdays at Fayetteville State University.
Mentoring assistance is provided to all Junior and Senior participants. Each student is offered information concerning college preparation. Mentors assist students with drafting a plan for college.
