Dr. Zimmerman has comprehensive administrative and teaching experience in the public schools, having served as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and as a teacher in middle and high schools.   Her research interests are the role of the principal in assuring equitable distribution of school resources and the restructuring of programs for school leaders. Dr. Zimmerman was selected to participate in the 2005 David L. Clark National Graduate Student Research Seminar in Educational Administration & Policy.
