Linda Wilson-Jones,

Dr. Linda Wilson-Jones currently serves as Director of the Doctoral Program in the Department of Educational Leadership. Before coming to Fayetteville State University, she was a School Counselor and Assistant Administrator for Rankin County Schools in Mississippi. She has taught under-graduate and graduate courses in teacher education and school administration and developed web-enhanced courses to enhance the learning experience of her students. Dr. Wilson-Jones serves on numerous committees on the department, school and the university levels, including holding positions as Curriculum Committee Chair, Faculty Evaluation Chair, Faculty Senate Secretary, School of Education, Editor-in-Chief, University Core Curriculum, UNC Faculty Assembly Representative and Advisor to Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society. She also has notable services outside the university, such as, The City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County Schools, PTA Council, United Way and March of Dimes. Dr. Wilson-Jones is currently chairing over 15 dissertation committees and has numerous peer-referred publications on the academic achievement of African American males, technology in higher education, along with proposals reader, book and chapter reviewer, and biography series for Harvard University’s African American notable individuals. She has expertise as an internship advisor for the Master of School Administration Program and most recently appointed as Executive Editor for the Baltimore City Community College’s Journal of Higher Education Excellence.
