Tutoring

Tutoring is available in all subject areas with a strong emphasis on math, English, and reading.

Professional Tutors are stationed at Red Springs Middle School, Red Springs High School and East Hoke Middle School during the regular school day (Monday-Friday)

An After-School Tutorial Program is held at Fayetteville State University, three (3) nights a week (Monday-Wednesday) from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Cultural Enrichment

Cultural and career enrichment activities such as, visits to postsecondary institutions, museums, theatrical productions, lecturers, educational centers, and local businesses are provided to students.

Workshops

Academic and college-preparatory workshops are provided once a month at each target school.  The workshop topics include:  study skills, time management, college selection, SAT/ACT preparation, and financial aid for college.  Workshops are also offered evenings and Saturdays at Fayetteville State University. 

Mentoring

Mentoring assistance is provided to all Junior and Senior participants.  Each student is offered information concerning college preparation.  Mentors assist students with drafting a plan for college.
