Department of English

Degree Programs

Students The Department of English offers Bachelor of Arts degree programs in English Language and Literature. In conjunction with the School of Education, the department also offers teaching degrees (Bachelor of Science) in English Language and Literature.

These programs prepare students to serve effectively as facilitators of learning. A minor is offered in English. The liberal arts education provided by the department prepares students for a variety of career options: education, publishing, finance, politics, law, the performing arts, or any field in which effective communications skills are required.
