Graduate Writing Certificate Programs

How Far Can a Few Choice Words Take You?

Whether you want to be a corporate communicator, a published author, or a writing instructor, a graduate writing certificate can give you an edge. In other words, a graduate writing certificate can polish your skills, your job performance, advance your existing career, or launch a new one.

Research proves that employers value workers who think creatively and communicate effectively. And transliteracy-the ability to communicate across traditional and new media platforms-will be crucial in the future. The bottom line: Your writing reflects how your mind works. So your words had best be polished.

Our writing certificate programs give busy professionals a fast, flexible way to gain a graduate credential. Classes are offered in evening, hybrid and online environments. Small, writing intensive courses focus on real-world applications. The Department of English offers two graduate certificates.
