Building Services

The Building Services unit provides a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment for the campus community. We provide services in the areas of housekeeping, landscaping, floor care, event signage installation, window cleaning, and moving services.

Housekeeping Services
Performs daily cleaning of the academic, athletic, and auxiliary buildings on campus over multiple shifts. Normal responsibilities include trash and recycling removal, carpet and hard surface floor care, chalkboard and whiteboard cleaning, restroom cleaning and sanitation, maintaining product stock in restroom dispensers, general dusting, cleaning and sanitizing water fountains, door glass and restroom mirror cleaning, and classroom furniture resetting.

Routine services include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning of common areas
• Cleaning and disinfection of restrooms (shared)
• Pulling trash (Common areas)
• Floor care (1x per year in most buildings)

Grounds Services
Facilities Management provides a full range of landscaping services including mowing, turf maintenance, tree maintenance, leaf, and snow removal. The grounds team works to ensure the campus grounds are properly serviced and provide an aesthetically pleasing environment in which to learn, work, and thrive. Our team maintains 156 acres on campus in addition to maintaining exterior spaces on campus, staff provide services to properties the university owns.

Moving and Labor Services
Moving services are provided by Facilities Management on a limited scale, as a reimbursable service and may be requested by submitting a work order. To move large amounts of furniture, materials or other items requiring special handling or to make moving arrangements for incoming faculty or staff. The Moving and Labor team also provides services for event signage installation and removal, window cleaning, and various general labor tasks.
