First Year Guide - Undecided

If you're not sure what your major should be, the following can help you choose classes that will satisfy most majors.
Core Requirements (for a complete list of core courses, click here)
University Studies, English Composition, Critical Thinking The same for all students. The only differences come from placement scores.
Quantitative Reasoning MATH 123, College Algebra, unless your intended major is math, computer science, or the natural sciences (in which case MATH 129). MATH 121, Introduction to College Algebra, may be required, depending on placement.
Transitional Studies - Life Skills For most majors, any course(s) fulfilling the requirement.  Education requires HEED 112, Health and Wellness.
Scientific Literacy - Natural Science Generally taken in the second year.  By then you should know what your major will be, and you can choose your natural science class accordingly.
Scientific Literacy - Social Science POLI 210, Priniciples of American Government is required for many majors.
Humanities and Creative Arts HUMN 211, Humanities I and/or HUMN 212, Humanities II are required by many Education majors.  For most other majors, any of the Core Humanities courses.
Global Literacy A foreign language will satisfy the requirement for any major except Education, which requires HIST 110, World History to 1600 or HIST 120, World History since 1600.
Ethics and Civic Engagement Any, unless considering Education (EDUC 211) or Nursing (PNUR 210 & ETCE 101).
