Ms. Hinnant-Jones is currently Coordinator for Second Year Initiative and Freshman Seminar Instructor. She has spent most of her working career interacting with students. Working in an educational environment has always been important to her. The range of her work with students is as diverse as tutoring English to South Korean students to supervising international tutors from Russia, Romania, Somalia, etc. Ms. Hinnant-Jones joined University College as the Coordinator for Second Year Initiative in the fall semester of 2006. Her background in working with community college and four-year college students both at private and public institutions has helped her with advising students here at Fayetteville State University. Prior to coming to FSU she worked at Methodist college and Fayetteville Technical Community College. During her tenure at Methodist College she was coordinator of the Tutoring and Testing Center, Academic Student Success Program and instructor for a Freshman Orientation Class and Study Skills Class. She has worked and still works as an advisor to several student organizations as well. Ms. Hinnant-Jones is an advocate for making sure students are aware of the study skills that will help make them an academic success. | ||||||
