Fayetteville State University Selected to Participate in Game Show

Fayetteville State University (FSU) Instructor and Retention Coordinator Ms. Kelisha Graves and FSU Sophomore, Ms. Sydney Harris, have been selected to participate in the television game show, Black College Quiz, hosted by Nephew Tommy. Ms. Harris is an Honors Scholar, a Global Scholar, and SGA Sophomore Class President. Ms. Harris will participate in the game show as a contestant. Ms. Graves will participate as her coach. The show will tape in January and is scheduled to air in February.

The purpose of the Black College Quiz game show series is to encourage an appreciation of African American Heritage by all people in an entertaining quiz show format. The quiz show series objective is to generate a high level of excitement and enthusiasm by featuring college students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Predominately Black Institutions, and Universities and Colleges with Black Studies Departments from around the country showcasing their knowledge and skills of African American history. The objective is to produce a television program that will show people of this country, young and old, African Americans who have made valuable contributions to the world in the areas of life that are not typically glamorized.
