In Memoriam

The FSU family would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Hazel Anderson, grandmother of Dr. Trela Anderson, assistant professor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, and handled by Henderson Funeral Home in Hernando, Mississippi.

University Testing Services New Location

University Testing Services has moved to a new location.  We are now in the Collins Administration Building, Suite 119 (old
Registrar’s Office).  All telephone numbers remain the same.  Thank you.
 


FSU Hosts All-Sports Cookout

The Fayetteville State Athletic Department will host an All Sports Cookout on Saturday, August 23rd. All of the FSU athletic teams (women’s basketball, bowling, cross country, softball, tennis, and volleyball and men’s’ basketball, cross country, football, and golf), athletic staff, and Chancellor James A. Anderson will be available to meet and greet the campus and the community.  All spectator festivities will begin at 12 noon and is free to the public.

Local media outlets will have their chance to take photos of the 2008 Fayetteville State Football and Volleyball teams in
game-day uniforms from 9 a.m.–10:30 a.m.

At noon, Chancellor Anderson and Director of Athletics, Dr. Edward McLean, will have welcoming ceremonies for all incoming and returning student-athletes, their families, and the welcomed community.  Each program, along with its coaching staff, will be introduced in Olympic fashion.

Introductions of the football squad and coaching staff are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to a mock scrimmage.

This event will be a kick-off for the season opener which is on Sunday, August 31st, against the Eagles of North Carolina
Central University (NCCU). The Broncos will travel to Durham, NC to do battle with NCCU in their "Labor Day Classic" on the
gridiron of O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
 


Emergency Response Online Course

This is a required course.  All faculty and staff must complete the course.  Once you launch the course please review each slide carefully.  After you finish reading the PowerPoint, please take the quiz to make sure you understood the material.  All grades are reported to make sure you have taken the course.  This course is mandated by OSHA and must be completed by all campus employees by 10/30/2008.
