FSU Professor Wins Poetry Book Award

Carole Boston Weatherford's recent book Birmingham, 1963 has won the 2008 Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award administered by the Pennsylvania Center for the Book, the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association, and the Pennsylvania State University Library.  The author of more than two dozen books, Ms. Weatherford is an associate professor in Fayetteville State University's Department of English and Foreign Languages.
