Lady Broncos First 2008 Softball Game

The Lady Broncos will have their first 2008 softball game on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Methodist College. The athletic department would like for everyone to support this game by attending.  The Lady Broncos Softball Team is under the new softball coach, Miquel Justiniano. 
 


"Form and Transformation: Art of Clay" Exhibition

The Department of Performing and Fine Arts/Rosenthal Gallery presents:

"Form and Transformation: Art of Clay"
February 1 - March 13
Artist's Reception : Friday, February 1, 2008, 7 – 9 p.m.

The invitational exhibition opens on Friday, February 1, 2008 featuring teaching artists representing Fayetteville Technical
Community College, UNC Pembroke, and Fayetteville State University.  The Visual Arts department will host the artist’s
reception on February 1, from 7 – 9 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.

The gallery hours during the week will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  For more information, please call (910) 672-1190 or 672-1773.

50th Annual Ebony Fashion Fair

The Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will sponsor the 50th Annual Ebony Fashion Fair on February 13 in the Crown Theater. Tickets are $25 and include a one-year subscription to Ebony or six months to Jet.

Tickets can be purchased in the Telecommunications Center, Room 207.  For more information, you may call ext. 1474.
 


Lunch Buddy Volunteers for Reid Ross Classical

Greetings!!  This is a reminder to all volunteers for Reid Ross Classical.  We are scheduled for a visitation on tomorrow, Thursday, January 24th.  We will meet in front of the Barber-Collins Administration Buildings and leave promptly at 10:45 a.m.  I’m inviting those who would be interested in volunteering to contact me at ext. 1457 or email bwimberly@uncfsu.edu.

In Memoriam

The FSU family would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Alta Elizabeth Stevenson, mother of Peggy Shropshire in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Dean’s Office.  Her mother passed away on January 18, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Her final resting place will be in Chicago, Illinois.

Services will be held on January 26, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV at 3:00 p.m.:
