Education
The School of Education has received approval from the Cumberland County Schools
to conduct research on the Early Learning program processes that are being
implemented at the Cross Creek Early College High School. Dr. Terence
Hicks, Chair/Research Professor in the Educational Leadership department is
working with a team of FSU and Cross Creek representatives to implement the
project. Dr. Hicks indicates that the primary purpose of this study will
be to evaluate the demographic, structural, organizational, and instructional
characteristics of Cumberland County Schools/Fayetteville State University early
college high school and to determine what the intermediate and long-term
outcomes are for students attending the high school. The team of
researchers will use a mixed method (quantitative/qualitative) data collection
approach; quantitative components will consist of survey and existing data, the
qualitative components will consist of interviews and focus groups.

The United States Postal Service
will release the Charles Chesnutt stamp for sale on January 31. The stamps
are .41 cent each or a book of twenty will be $8.20. The FSU Post Office
will have plenty in stock on that day.
