"Bronco" Lunch Buddy Mentoring Program

from Dr. Erin White, Lunch Buddy Coordinator

Join the FSU “Bronco” Lunch Buddy Mentoring Program, a community outreach and mentoring program for local public schools.  We are in need of VOLUNTEERS for visitation to selected schools during the 2007-2008 academic calendar year.

The host school provides lunch (contact FSU coordinator for specific details) and FSU provides transportation.  It only takes one (1) hour, two (2) meetings per month.  FSU participants meet in front of C.J. Barber Administration Building, for immediate departure on designated days and times to join students during their lunch period and return to campus immediately following.

The goals of the Lunch Buddy program are to (i) foster positive role models, (ii) improve self-esteem, and (iii) increase dialogue for stimulating post secondary education.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at ext. 1128. For more specific questions, concerning schools, please contact the FSU coordinators for each participating school.
