Low Income Energy
Assistance Program (LIEAP) applications will be taken Monday, November 3, 2008
through Friday, November 14, 2008, at 1225 Ramsey Street Fayetteville, North
Carolina. Basic hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m.
until 4:30 p.m. The office will be closed all day for Veterans Day Tuesday,
November 11, 2008, but for the convenience of our families, LIEAP applications
will be taken until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008.
Please bring verification of income, Social Security, ID, and current bank
statement if applicable. Households that are determined eligible will
receive an energy payment in February or March 2009.
For more information on the Low Income Energy Assistance Program, please call
the LIEAP information line at 677-2821 (this information line will be active
from September 30, 2008 through November 28, 2008).
The Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) may be available for more urgent energy
assistance needs as funding is appropriated. The Salvation Army takes CIP
applications at 226 South Cool Spring Street. Please call (910) 307-0359
for more information on the CIP program.
