The 2008 Volleyball Round-up will be held September 13th-14th in the Felton J.
Capel Arena. Each of the institutions that athletically compete in the
Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will be in attendance.
The Lady Broncos are the reigning CIAA champions, led by returning CIAA Player
of the Year Chekimbrell Jefferson. However, FSU has had a sluggish 3-6 start to
the season. Fayetteville State snapped a six-game losing streak in their
first conference match of the season, 3-0 against Johnson C. Smith.
It will be interesting to see how Head Coach Elorine Hill and her squad, match
up against other CIAA competition. On Saturday, the Lady Broncos will face
Virginia State, St. Paul’s, and Virginia Union. Elizabeth City State and
Bowie State will square off against FSU on Sunday afternoon.
Matches are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:00 a.m. -
6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The round-up is open to the public, and several Lady
Bronco supporters should be in attendance. Each of Fayetteville State’s
contests will be webcasted on
