1. Complete VA paperwork
Go to the VONAPP website and fill out the appropriate form (see below).
2. Print a copy of the completed VA paperwork.
Once you fill out the online form and submit it to the VA, you will need to print a copy of the completed VA form and sent it to Fayetteville State University VA office, to be kept in your file. To verify you have successfully submitted your form to the VA, a confirmation number will appear on the bottom of each page of the form you print out to send to FSU VA office.

4. Register for courses and notify your VA counselor
5. Fayetteville State University will certify enrollment to the VA:
VA Certifying Officials will submit an enrollment certification (22-1999) to the VA after your course(s) activate.
6. VA processes enrollment certification and posts for verification:
Once your enrollment certification has been processed, the VA will then post your enrollment information on the VA Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) system.
7. Verify enrollment on WAVE:
You will need to verify your enrollment on the VA system in one of two ways:
Note: Your enrollment information will not post on WAVE until the certification has been processed by the VA. Verification will need to be completed on the first day of every month during the term, to release the pay for the previous month.
