Title III Funding Targeted for More Cuts

The House of Representatives has proposed 36% in cuts to HBCU entitlement funding (also known as Title III).  Title III funding has enabled us to create programming that has eased the transition from high school to college for students who are first-generation college students or come from low-wealth communities, and those who may not ordinarily be accepted to FSU.   Title III funding has also allowed us to upgrade aging facilities on campus to enhance the students’ educational experience.  This year there was another 12% across-the- board cut.
