Institute for Community Leadership Graduates Twenty-Three at FSU
On April 15, 2008, the fourth class of ICL participants were recognized on the campus of Fayetteville State University. The Institute for Community Leadership is a joint community effort designed to provide local citizens the opportunity to participate in activities leading to community leadership, volunteer service, and membership on boards and commissions. The Leadership Program has seven monthly training sessions, each featuring leadership enhancement activities and discussions with local leaders. Monthly sessions run from September to April, excluding December.
Class 4 Leaders were Bobby Hill, Chris Coats, Annette Evans, and LaTicia Wilson. The graduation ceremony included a keynote address by former Fayetteville Mayor and current UNC Board of Governors member Marshall Pitts. Two members of the class are members of FSU's staff, Ms. Suzetta Perkins and Ms. Lisa Shirley.
Fayetteville State University is an ICL partner and has hosted the graduation exercises for the last two years.
