Community Engagement Opportunities

For the third year in a row Fayetteville State University was named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service.  The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities.  Our selection to the Honor Roll is recognition from the highest levels of the federal government of the University's commitment to service and civic engagement on campus and in our nation.

It is clear that FSU does a lot of good in our community and we want to do more.  Listed below are opportunities to serve.  If you would like to participate, make sure you contact our community relations assistant, Wesley Fountain at 910-672-1658 or wtfountain01@uncfsu.edu.

January 20, 2014 will mark the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday. This milestone is a perfect opportunity for Americans to honor Dr. King's legacy through service. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King's vision of a beloved community.
