Dickens Elected to Partnership for Defense Innovation Board
In October, 2007, Emily Dickens, Fayetteville State University’s Director of Community and Government Affairs was elected to a one year term as a Director on the Partnership for Defense Innovation Board.
The Partnership for Defense Innovation provides assistance through the Defense Security Technology Accelerator to entrepreneurs and innovators with developing new business and dual use technologies, in a rapid 8-18 month timeline, focused on both military and commercial needs in the areas of defense, security and intelligence communities. Additionally, it operates the Special Operations Forces Wireless Test Bed which is designed to test and evaluate commercial and government off the shelf equipment into existing military networks.
