FSU Co-sponsors Fayetteville Business and Professional League  40th Anniversary Celebration

FPBL dinnerIn September, 2007, the Fayetteville Business and Professional League (FBPL) celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a business symposium and gala celebration.  Fayetteville State University sponsored the speaker for the gala celebration. The evening’s speaker, Mr. Rodney Woods, CEO of Diversity in Promotions (DIP), has a wealth of experience in event management and foundation development. The minority-owned company is designed to be the link between marketing managers of major corporations and grassroots-level marketing opportunities in the urban community. FPBL dinnerIn October 2006, Woods began working with Toyota Supplier Diversity. Toyota is dedicated to the education, development and utilization of MBEs in its supply chain.  DIP’s solution is to create outreach programs that would target and educate potential minority business owners on the upcoming opportunities. This will ensure that Toyota reaches their 15% goal of hiring minority suppliers. Woods’ ultimate goal is to help minority business excel to the next level with corporations and help corporations understand minority own businesses.
