Col. Arthur R. Nicholson, Commander of the 932nd Medical Group attached to the 932nd Airlift Wing at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, will be the guest speaker The mission of the 932nd Medical Group is to provide real world medical support to the flying mission of the 932nd Airlift Wing as well as providing deployable medical personnel from the Aeromedical Staging Squadron (ASTS) and the Medical Squadron (MDS) to combat commands and Homeland Defense. As Medical Group Commander, Col. Nicholson’s role is to oversee all administrative, training, readiness, and mobilization responsibilities for the Group and assure that the active flying mission of the wing is clinically supported. Additionally, his mobilization role is designated to support the Command Surgeon General Operations Directorate at Air Mobility Command.
Col. Nicholson received a commission in the Air Force Reserves as a Medical Service Corps (MSC) officer in 1986. He is a Senior MSC officer with experience in all three ground medical units and the Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. In his civilian capacity, he is currently a Senior Contracting Officer, level III certified, in the intelligence industry of the Federal Government.
An inspirational/motivational speaker and author, Col Nicholson is serious about developing future leaders. His books include Dancing On The Razors EDGE and Thoughts Of An Inspired Mind.
SUPPORT OPERATION TOY DROP
Operation Toy Drop, now in its 14th official year at Ft. Bragg, works to collect toys for the children of soldiers in need, local families associated with social services, and local children’s shelters. Last year around 6,000 toys were expected. With the help of Community Partners such as FSU, more than 10,000 were collected.
Drop Boxes will be in the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center (SBE 1st floor, just off the lobby), Spaulding Infirmary (across from LSA), and Student Center Rm. 210 (in the hallway behind the information desk). We are looking for new, non gift wrapped toys for all ages from infants to 18 years. Everything is welcome from stuffed animals to books; bicycles to batteries.
If you do not want to leave your gift in a box (or it won’t fit!) you can bring it to the Office of Student Activities. You can also mail gifts to:

The AARP Driver Safety Program (DSP) is proud to announce a free DSP class during the month of November. This class is four hours in length and designed to help drivers learn driving strategies; reduces chances of having a crash; update knowledge of today's roads traffic laws, vehicles, other road users; think about how we drive; knowing ourselves; safe driving strategies; understanding our vehicles; and judging our driving fitness.
The class is designed for military (active duty or retired veterans who served in the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, National Guard/Reserves or Coast Guard, including spouses). There are no tests.
Classes are to be offered during the month of November. Each veteran will complete a participant form prior to the beginning of the class and receive a certificate.
